Bug Light Park
This 8.78 acre scenic park is located at the former East Yards
shipbuilding complex where the Liberty ships were built. It offers
a walking path, salt water fishing, the
Portland Breakwater Light
House (otherwise known as Bug Light), the Liberty Ship
Memorial, and a public boat ramp (seasonal fees).  Amenities:
Restrooms (seasonal); Parking; Scenic
view of
Portland waterfront, Casco Bay and Fort Gorges;
Lighthouse; Benches; Greenbelt walkway. Dogs
allowed off-leash year-round.   MAP  

High Street & Sawyer Street Park  
FVNCA applied and received a Community
Development Block Grant to rehab this paved lot.
 

Greenbelt Walkway
This 7-mile paved trail runs along the shore and through several
neighborhoods before connecting to Scarborough, ME. It is
popular for running, walking, biking and rollerblading. It connects
to the Spring Point Shoreway on the Southern Maine Community
College campus on Fort Road.  Dogs allowed on-leash.

School Street Park
This .44 acre neighborhood park offers benches, a
playground, and on-street parking. No dogs please
.

Davidson's Beach
This private beach was granted access to the public in the
1980's. The entrance is off of Pine Street and it runs from the
Centerboard Yachtclub to the U.S. Coast Guard station.  


Willard Beach
This 4 acre crescent-shaped, sandy beach is minutes away from
Ferry Village. Amenities include: Parking; Playground; Showers
and rest rooms (seasonal); Concession stand (seasonal). No
dogs allowed between the months of May - Sept except between
6 am - 9 am.

Old Joe's Pond
This historic wetland area is currently privately owned, but FVNCA
has been promised an easement for future use.
